Who writes our guides
Articles are published by The Premium Pup Editorial Team. We are an independent research publication for owners of giant, sensitive, and high-maintenance dogs. We do not present ourselves as veterinarians, veterinary nutritionists, engineers, or professional groomers.
How we research
We begin with the dog’s anatomy, coat, environment, and intended use. For health and safety topics, we prioritize veterinary hospitals, professional organizations, independent testing bodies, and other primary sources. For products, we review current manufacturer specifications, instructions, sizing, warranties, safety limitations, and replacement-part support.
How we evaluate products
We consider fit, function, durability, maintenance, safety information, total cost, and suitability for the specific dogs covered by the guide. A manufacturer claim is identified as such. We do not treat one tested product size as proof that every size or related model performs identically.
Health and safety boundaries
Our content is educational and does not diagnose, treat, or replace individualized veterinary or professional advice. When a topic carries meaningful health or safety risk, we state the limits of products and encourage readers to consult the appropriate qualified professional.
